We Believe In

  • Supporting the activities of all authors, whether they are the authors we've published or authors going it alone in the indie world.
  • Supporting diversity at every chance we get. We want diverse stories from diverse authors.
  • Being good citizens. We hold charity initiatives throughout the year and do what we can to reduce our environmental impact.

Developmental Editors, Copy Editors, Proofreaders (Non-Paid)

Our editing staff takes our authors' stories from good to great. We rely on them to make sure we put out a clean, well-honed product each time we publish.

Note: Our authors' work mainly falls with the horror, fantasy, suspense/thriller, and science fiction genres. Many of the pieces you'll be asked to edit/proof contain violence, gore, swearing, and non-explicit sexual content.

Developmental Editor Responsibilities

Work with the author to refine the structure of their story or book and maintain consistent plot, character, and language throughout. Weed out plot holes and weak spots, address problematic characterizations, and help refine the overall flow of the work.

Copy Editor Responsibilities

Work with the author to refine the mechanics of their story or book, from word choice to overall sentence structure. Weed out the typos and bad grammar, and create as clean a product as possible.

Proofreader Responsibilities

The last defense against typos and bad grammar. Content and copy editors are human, and stuff gets missed. It's the job of the proofreader that those typos that slipped past the copy editor don't make it into the final published work.

The Perks

  • Exclusive advanced reading opportunities whenever we have a new release in the pipeline.
